Combat Guide
Master the real-time combat system of The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin
Combat Basics
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin features real-time action combat where you control one hero at a time while AI manages the others in the party.
Normal Attack
Tap repeatedly for a combo string. Each weapon type has a unique normal attack animation and damage profile.
Special Attack
A chargeable or instant skill that varies greatly by weapon. Often the core of a hero's damage rotation.
Normal Skill (E)
A cooldown-based skill that provides unique effects — damage, buffs, debuffs, or healing depending on the hero.
Ultimate Move
The most powerful skill. Fills a gauge through combat actions. Deals massive damage or provides game-changing utility.
Burst System
The Burst Gauge fills as you deal damage and perform actions. When full, you can activate an Elemental Burst — a powerful explosion tied to your hero's element.
How to Build Burst Gauge
- • Deal damage with Normal Attacks and Skills
- • Some skills explicitly increase the Burst Gauge by a fixed amount
- • Taking damage from enemies can also increase the gauge
- • Burst Efficiency stats increase how fast the gauge fills
Burst Effects
Activating a Burst deals massive elemental damage and applies a powerful debuff to the enemy (like reducing elemental defense, applying DoT, or crowd controlling). Heroes with skills that trigger on enemy Burst states can capitalize heavily on this.
Tag System
The Tag System allows you to swap between party members mid-combat using the Tag Gauge. Swapping triggers a Tag Skill — a powerful ability unique to the incoming character.
Tag Gauge
Fills through combat. Many skills explicitly restore Tag Gauge points. Tag Skills are triggered when swapping heroes.
Tag Points
Some heroes restore Tag Points on Burst activation, enabling rapid character swapping for complex combo chains.

Advanced Tips
• Learn each hero's skill cooldowns to maintain consistent DPS with no wasted time.
• Stack elemental debuffs (like Chill → Freeze) before landing your heavy-hitting skills.
• Activate Burst on enemies to enable hero skills that specifically trigger on Burst-afflicted enemies.
• Use tank heroes to draw aggro and protect your main DPS characters.
• Time your Tag Swaps to maintain Burst uptime across your party.
• Pay attention to enemy Burst indicators — some heroes deal bonus damage when enemies have active Bursts.
