Progression Guide
How to progress efficiently through Seven Deadly Sins: Origin
Early Game Priorities
Complete the Main Story First
The main quest is the backbone of early progression. It unlocks new game systems, regions, characters, and gives you the bulk of your early resources. Do not skip ahead — the story gates a lot of important content.
Build a Balanced Starting Team
Aim to have at least one DPS, one healer/support, and one tank in your early party. Check the Team Compositions page for the most beginner-friendly setups. Avoid investing heavily in characters you will replace quickly.
Experiment With Weapon Types Early
Every character in 7DS: Origin plays differently depending on which weapon they equip. Try at least two weapon types on your main characters before committing resources. Some characters have dramatically better performance with specific weapons — Jericho with Dual Swords versus a Lance, for example, plays a completely different role.
Upgrade Gear on Your Main DPS First
Resources are limited early. Focus gear upgrades on whichever character deals the most damage in your current team. Support and tank gear matters less until mid game when content becomes harder to clear.
Unlock All Available Heroes
Work through story events and summons to unlock as much of the roster as possible. Even characters you do not plan to use can serve as fillers for content requiring multiple teams.
Understanding the Weapon & Skill System
7DS: Origin uses a weapon-based skill system where each hero has a unique skill set for each weapon type they can equip. This means a single character can fill completely different roles depending on their loadout — making weapon choice one of the most important decisions in the game.
Skill Unlock Order Matters
Skills are unlocked progressively as you level up a character with a specific weapon equipped. Make sure to use weapons early to start unlocking their full kit.
Do Not Spread Resources Too Thin
It is tempting to level multiple weapons per character, but early on you should pick one primary weapon and max it out before experimenting. Resources are too scarce to split.
Passive Skills Are Game Changers
Higher-tier passive skills often define a character's identity. Check what passives unlock at max level before deciding whether a weapon type suits your playstyle.
Team Synergy Comes From Weapon Choices
Some of the best team compositions in 7DS: Origin work because of how specific weapon skills synergize — for example, characters that apply bleed stacking alongside those that detonate bleed for bonus damage.
Mid Game Goals
Reach Max Level on Core Heroes
Raise your primary team to max level and make sure their main weapon skills are fully unlocked. This is the baseline for tackling harder content.
Farm Best-in-Slot Gear
Identify the optimal gear sets for your characters — check each character's dedicated page for recommendations. Focus on main stats first, then substats.
Push World Bosses
World bosses in the open map drop some of the best mid-game materials. Coordinate the Red Demon ritual if you have a group — the rewards are significantly better than standard field bosses.
Explore the Full Map
Unlock all regions of the Kingdom of Britannia for fast travel points, hidden chests, and regional content. Check the Map Information page for field boss locations.
Build a Second Team
Certain content requires multiple teams or different compositions for specific enemy types. Start investing in a second core team once your main roster is stable.
Understand PvP Basics
If you plan to participate in PvP, mid game is the time to start building toward it. PvP-oriented gear and weapon choices differ significantly from PvE — refer to the Tier List for PvP rankings.

Spending & Summon Priorities
Whether you are free-to-play or willing to spend, resource management is critical in 7DS: Origin. These are the general priorities for allocating your premium currency and summon tickets:
Pity Summons on S-Tier Characters
Save for characters rated S or above on the tier list. Using pity on lower-ranked units is one of the most common early mistakes. Check the Tier List before pulling on any banner.
Weapon Unlock Pulls
Unlocking a key weapon type for a character you already have can be more impactful than pulling a new character. Always check if a weapon banner offers something your current roster needs.
Gear Enhancement Materials
Spending on gear material bundles is generally good value mid-game when upgrading your core team's equipment becomes the primary progression bottleneck.
Stamina Refills
Only worth it during double-drop events or when you are close to clearing a major content milestone. Avoid refilling stamina for routine grinding.
